The 17th Meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) of the Estonian EU external border programme was successfully held in Otepää, Estonia, on 4-5 June 2024.
The two-day event featured a comprehensive agenda aimed at reviewing the programme`s progress, discussing tasks related to its closure, and making decisions for future consultation process of Interreg Post-2027, and other initiatives with involvement of the European Commission and TESIM representatives.
An important agenda point included the presentation of the draft ex-post evaluation report by the Institute of Baltic Studies, providing valuable insights into the programme’s impact and achievements.
On 4 June, coinciding with the 140th anniversary of the Estonian Flag, participants of the meeting visited the „Estonian Flag“ (“Development of the Estonian Flag and Community Centre”, ER248) project site in Otepää, where the future Estonian Flag and Community Centre will be established. The visit highlighted the efforts and dedication of the beneficiary, Otepää Municipality, in this meaningful project.

The JMC meeting was chaired by Julia Koger, Adviser of the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture of Estonia.
