Estonian EU external border programme

Cross-border cooperation between Estonia and Russia has been fruitfully implemented during EU several programming periods resulting with promoted cooperation contacts and personal friendships made, improved infrastructure objects as well initiated and developed joint activities in social, cultural and other field in the border areas.

 

To highlight the achievements of more than 20 years of territorial cooperation in Europe and to meet with neighbours, the Estonia-Russia CBC Programme is celebrating European Cooperation Day (EC Day) this year in Estonia – Russia border town Narva (Estonia) on 22 and 23 September. You are welcome to join us in celebrations!

 

We give floor to youth – future decision makers! Visions and challenges, benefits and obstacles in cross border cooperation will be shared in discussion group involving youngsters from Russia, Estonia and other EU countries on 22 September. To visualise the essence of cooperation and the nature of overcoming borders the photo hunting competition takes place on 23 September. Physical skills and strength of cooperation will be kindly tested at sailing boat regatta on the border river Narva.

Event is organised in cooperation with Narva City Government, Narva Youth Centre and Narva Young Sailors` Club.

European Cooperation Day is on 21 September and surrounding days. Official kick-off event of the campaign this year will take place in Tallinn, Estonia on 31 Aug and 1 September  during Estonia`s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
