On Friday, 31 January 2020 the cornerstone was laid at the construction site of repair-demonstration hall (Lodjakoda) in Tartu, Estonia (Ujula Str 98).
A complex, consisting of three buildings, will open its doors by the Emajõgi River already in summer. This unique educational-cultural center includes the museum, exhibition-seminar hall, wooden shipbuilding center, blacksmith`s shop, as well a cafe. Investment and the new center will create about eight new workplaces.
Construction works are carried out within the cross-border cooperation project “Common Peipsi 2” co-financed by the Estonia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020. The total cost of the works is 2,4 million euros, of which the Programme co-financing is 624 975 euros.
The project overall budget is 5 199 139 euros which includes Programme co-financing in the amount of 4 256 924 euros.
