Estonian EU external border programme

On 8 May the Joint Technical Secretariat was visiting Luunja Secondary School (Estonia) to meet students and introduce Estonia-Russia Programme, cross border cooperation between Estonia and Russia, its benefits and value for local residents.

The meeting included a presentation on practical aspects of collaboration and career opportunities, lively quiz and discussions. The most active respondents were awarded with the programme souvenirs.

The event took place within the framework of Europe Day celebration organized by State Shared Service Centre.

Luunja Rural Municipality is a partner in a large infrastructure project „Common Peipsi 2” which is expected to start the activities this summer. Pre-condition for the development of water-related tourism will be made and small harbor established in Luunja with supporting infrastructure (electricity, roads, etc) allowing both larger and smaller vessels to plan their trips on River Emajõgi.
