Celebrating the benefits of working together across borders.
Three public events in three countries – Estonia, Russia and Latvia by three cross border cooperation programmes will celebrate jointly the European Cooperation Day (ECDay).
Events will give an opportunity for families to spend time together exploring nature and to inspire interest for nature protection. A wide range of enjoyable and educational hands-on activities will be delivered to bring the participants closer to nature. The activities will be organised both indoor (e.g. interactive classes, trainings, experiments, crafts) and outdoor (e.g. workshops, games, outdoor classes).

– On 5 October – Centre for children and youth creativity “Zerkalniy”, Russia
Events are free of charge.
ECDay is organised by the Estonia-Russia, Estonia-Latvia-Russia and Latvia-Russia CBC Programmes in close cooperation with three Partners of the project of Estonia-Latvia-Russia Programme “Promoting nature education as efficient mean of awareness raising” (“People with Nature”) – Tartu Environmental Education Centre (Estonia), Gauja National Park Foundation (Latvia), St.Petersburg charitable organization “Biologists for nature conservation” (Russia).
This year the European Cooperation Day will take place already for the fifth time to emphasize the achievements of cross border cooperation and will focus on the importance of sustainable development and awareness raising about environmental challenges among school children and general public at large. The official opening of the ECDay will take place on the first half of September in Bratislava, Slovakia
