From the year 2024, the Rõuge volunteer rescuers start responding to emergency events from the brand new depot on Tehnika street in Rõuge, Võru county, Estonia.
This makes it possible to bring the operational work of the commando to a new qualities and to offer rescuers a contemporary working environment. Until now, the half-hundred-member commando had to work in cramped garage boxes from the Soviet era.
The commander Kalvi Kõva:” The new depot creates a safer Rõuge in a sensitive EU external border area. And the new infrastructure brings young people into the ranks. Thanks to the ROUGERESCUE project!”
