ER187 Preserving heritage

Ms Kaja Tullus, e-mail: [email protected]

Preserving local language and traditions is important because it supports the relationship and creation of community unity and identity.

On 26 October Setomaa heritage afternoon takes place at Värska kindergarten. Program includes story-telling in Seto language, traditional singing-games and puzzle solving.

Project “Preserving heritage” supported within the 5th Call for proposals is aiming to improve the cooperation between Peipsi- ja Setoland local communities and specialists in preserving and promoting local cultural, linguistic and historical heritage and to increase knowledge and ownership of young generation in Peipsi- and Setoland to their heritage.
