The traditional folkmoot starts at 15:00 with a joint procession from Suurjärve parking lot to Rõuge park (Estonia).
In the park festival area the rescue operations incl. splashers battle branching is to be tested and demonstrated. Wildfire risk and prevention information, incl. fire hazards maps are explained by the operation team and climate risk experts of ROUGERESCUE project to increase the public awareness as the high hazard season continues across Estonia.
The project information is disseminated in the ROUGERESCUE corner. The various rescue specific competitions and activities for the whole family and children are in the agenda. The folkmoot of firefighters ends with an outdoor community gathering and dance party.
The public outdoor event also kicks off the project ROUGERESCUE (ER209) supported by the Estonian EU external border programme within the 6th Call for proposals.
