Estonian EU external border programme

On 23-25 October 2017 had taken place the XVI ST.PETERSBURG STRATEGIC PLANNING FORUM 2017 with the key theme – Implementation Tools and Resources.

FIVE THEMATIC LINES:
1. Designing the Future: Foresights, Scenarios, Forecasts.
2. Implementation Success Factors: Project Management, Tools, Resources.
3. The Best Practice of Regional and Municipal Strategic Planning, Planning Technology News.
4. International Cooperation for Regional Development.
5. Sustainable Development – Keynote of Modern Strategies (Forum Green Day).

Four special actions were organized to put more light on the role of international and interregional cooperation as the Tool and Resource for regional strategic development:

Representatives of the EE-RU CBC Programme on all levels, including National Authorities of both countries, Managing Authority, Joint technical Secretariat and its St.Petersburg branch office, were participating at the Forum.

On 24 October at the Round Table “Russia-EU 2014-2020 Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes: Environment as One of the Top Priorities” Ege Ello, Head of Managing Authority, Estonia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020, Ministry of Finance, Estonia, had presented situation with the Programme implementation to date, expected outputs and results of the Programme in relation to the Environmental issues of the Estonia-Russia bordering regions, Gulf of Finland and Chudskoe lake in particular.
