The awarded project ER96 “Promoting music hobby education and fostering cross border cooperation between the music schools in Pskov and Räpina” (Connecting Through Music) (Project) has been recently officially launched and will be implemented by two partners: Räpina Music School (Estonia) and Children’s Music School № 1 named N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov (Russia).
The project will contribute to improvement of cooperation between musical educational organisations in Pskov and Räpina, develop skills and promote music education as hobby and preparative education for further vocational or higher education.
Study trips and seminars for teachers of singing and percussion as well as music camps for students will be arranged during the project to enhance cooperation and ensure exchange of knowledge. Both schools will purchase musical percussion and brass instruments to attract more students to enter the music schools.
The project will be implemented in the course of 24 months supported by the overall budget EUR 158 570,00 which includes Programme co-financing in the amount of EUR 142 713,00.
