Estonian EU external border programme

The awarded project “Promoting marketing of local products and services” (Project) (ER-45) has been started on 2nd September 2020 to be implemented by five partners: Kohtla-Järve Town Government, Foundation Edise Castle and NGO Alguskeskus from Estonia; Administration of municipal formation “Kingisepp municipal district of Leningrad region“ and Administration of municipal formation “Slantsy municipal district of Leningrad region” from Russian side. One more organization is involved in project implementation as associated partner – Foundation Ida-Viru Enterprise Centre.

The Project coming under Thematic Objective (TO) 1 “Business and SME development” will focus on increasing SME development and entrepreneurship by fostering cross-border business contacts and the development of services and products in the bordering regions of Estonia and Russia.

The expected change generated within two years of the project’s implementation consists of improving the skills and knowledge of SMEs active in handicraft and small-scale agricultural production in selected sectors.

Project’s activities will be supported by small scale investments on Estonian and Russian sides to establish equipped marketplaces, glass, carpentry, metal workshops and municipal craft pottery.

Serios attention will be also paid to business management, marketing skills and network building and sustaining through organizing joint relevant master-classes on both sides of the border.

The project overall budget is EUR 490 707,94 which includes Programme co-financing in the amount of EUR 441 636,94.
