Estonian EU external border programme


By the end of October 2019 the implementation of 22 contracted projects of the Estonia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020 are in full speed in partnerships of 88 beneficiaries  both from Estonia and Russia with the total amount of Programs’ co-financing EUR 22 626 687,37.

Statistics of the 1st call contracted projects

Grant contracts with 17 projects are concluded by the Programs’ Managing Authority providing Programs’ co-financing of EUR 6 053 278,16, supporting cooperation of 65 beneficiaries. Some approved projects are still in the process of completing the  pre-conditions for the grant contract.

2nd Call contracted project

ProjectER126 “Joint actions for improving local rescue fire services to protect forests and settlements in EE-RU border area”  (“Local Fire”) was approved and contracted in August 2019 within the 2nd call for proposals for Programme specific area `Fostering shared actions in risk management and a readiness to cope with environmental disasters` under the Thematic Objective 6 `Environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaption”.
Project brought together 5 beneficiaries – municipalities: 4 from Pskov Region of Russia and 1 from Kirde-Eesti region of Estonia.
The total budget of the project is EUR 453 597,83, including Program co-financing – EUR 376 079, 69.

Large Infrastructure Projects

4 Large Infrastructure Projects have been contracted with the total sum of budgets EUR 20 900 319,14:

  • Improving of the Accessibility of the Remote Areas in the South-East Estonia and Pskov Region for Traditional Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development, ER1 “SME ACCESS”;
  • Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area 2, ER2 “Common Peipsi 2”;
  • Development of the unique Narva-Ivangorod trans-border fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object. 2nd stage, ER3 “Narva-Ivangorod Castles 2”;
  • Development of historical riverside protection area in Narva/Estonia and Ivangorod/Russia. 3rd stage, ER4 “River Promenades III”.
