Narva-Ivangorod Castles 2 (completed on EST side) - ER3

Development of the unique Narva-Ivangorod trans-border fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object. 2nd stage

Project will focus on improvement of business and living environment by increasing the competitiveness of the cross-border region through continuing development of the Narva-Ivangorod trans-border fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist product.

Specific objectives:

  • Attractiveness improvement of Narva and Ivangorod  Castles territories for visitors
  • Sharing the knowledge within the project implementation with general public and enterprises

Main activities:

  • Expert assessment of detailed design documentation, archaeological excavation and supervision, construction works in western yard, Kristervall bastion, restoration of outer walls, exhibition creation on Estonian side
  • Restoration works, supervision services, research works and creation of permanent exhibition in Big Powder Granary on the Russian side
  • Search and contracting new service providers for Ivangorod fortress
  • Broad range of information and communication activities
