Preserving heritage - ER187

Preserving Heritage project combines achievements of previously implemented cultural and educational projects in Setoland and larger Peipsiland. The project is also motivated by growing interest among educational formal and non-formal institutions how to use emerging digital technologies in the communication.

The overall objective: to improve the cooperation between Peipsi- and Setoland local communities and specialists in preserving and promoting local cultural, linguistic and historical heritage.

Specific objectives:

  • to advance the heritage teaching methodologies (traditional, digital) and network inside and outside of the Programme area;
  • to enrich knowledge and empower the ownership of young generation in Peipsi- and Setoland to their heritage;
  • to improve the knowledge of principles/practices of environmental friendly events.

It is believed that strong cultural heritage can enrich social capital and create a sense of individual and collective belonging.
