Furniture manufacturers with long traditions nowadays operate in the town and region of Võru.
The project addresses the problem as to what extent the designers and product developers use the past experiences and local heritage to get inspired from traditions and old skills (know-how) to create new modern furniture concepts.
Overall objective: to enhance the competitiveness of the region by establishing entrepreneurial networks that both the public sector (primary and secondary schools in the region), local producers and suppliers as business sector could benefit from.
Specific objective:
Based on the concept of re-vitalisation of furniture industry heritage and combining it with modern ways of teaching engineering, IT and sciences the project contributes to promotion of entrepreneurship among pupils at schools and younger people in general.
