Estonian EU external border programme

The first stage of assessment of the 5th Call project application forms is completed.

As a result of administrative eligibility check all 11 submitted project applications, received by the set deadline 17 November 2022, continue in quality control.

The total grant amount requested by 20 involved unique project partners is over EUR 850 000.

Division of received project applications by Thematic Objectives (TO): 

  • Business and SME development (TO1) – 3 applications (requested grant EUR 249 827);
  • Support to local and regional good governance (TO5) – 5 applications (requested grant EUR 337 811);
  • Environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation (TO6)– 3 applications (requested grant EUR 263 279).

Next stage, the quality assessment of project applications begins from 19 December 2022 with the Selection Committee 14th meeting. Evaluation results are expected in January 2023.


The 5th Call for proposals is focusing on Capitalization of project results to enlarge the influence and contribute to higher impact of the Estonian EU external border programme on the eligible programme territory and beyond.
